Tom Kolovos is an image consultant, fashion stylist, writer and television commentator. He has served as fashion editor of Today's Chicago Woman and is currently the fashion and style contributor for the NBC5 Weekend Morning News. He also blogs for NBC5.com.

After pursuing his undergaduate studies in Economics and graduate work in Political Philosophy at the University of Chicago, Tom taught political sociology and popular culture at the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Tom's unconventional background gives him the unique ability to understand, and consequently convey to his clients and the media, fashion and identity in its sociopolitical context.

His fashion advice has been featured prominently in online media, The Daily Herald, The Chicago Sun Times, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Daily News, The Independent, InStyle, and Women's Wear Daily.

Interviews with USA Today, NBC, FOX, CBS and his blogging have established him as one of the leading authorities on style and presidential politics in campaign 2008

In his own blog intersection, which appears on this site, he hopes to continue the mission he started with his review of the Christian Dior exhibit at the Chicago History Museum in SIFT magazine : to explore, with his sense of candor and humor, the connections between style, the whims of fashion and popular culture to the larger socioeconomic and political landscape.

His corporate clientele includes Sony Studios, The Four Season's Hotel (Chicago), Arlene Wilson Management, Mario Tricoci Salons and Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas.

The sheer breadth of experience Tom brings to each project and each client is unique in an industry of stylists and image consultants touting cliches, platitudes and power point presentations. In addition to his editorial and television experience, he brings to private clients the experience of working with models and photographers, media personalities and television stars, professional athletes and politicians, including work for American and international covers and with movie stars for appearances on "Oprah."

Tom believes a fashion stylist is no longer a luxury for the rich and famous but an excellent resource for anyone interested in realizing the full potential of a positive self image in their personal and professional lives.

He dresses savvy private clients, ranging from C suite executives to hockey moms to figures on the social scene. It's all in a day's work.

So are imagination, laughter and style.
